Your membership means more than simply signing a piece of paper. Becoming a member of Northwoods expresses your commitment to this “spiritual family,” a family that worships together, grows in faith together, and serves one another.
We are committed to connecting with you and desire to help you solidify your faith and find your place at Northwoods. Our membership class, called Joyroad Class, is open to anyone who wants to join Northwoods or simply wants more information about our beliefs.
In Joyroad Class, we provide an overview of our ministry values and Statement of Faith, and present opportunities for connecting to small groups and areas of service.
To register for the class, simply indicate your desire to join Northwoods on the communication card that you'll find in your bulletin every Sunday, or contact the staff at 850-562-1188. You'll be advised on the next scheduled Joyroad class.
The Meaning of Membership
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." ~Romans 12:4-5
Church membership is not a means of salvation; becoming a member of Northwoods or any other church does not assure anyone of eternal life in heaven. The Bible does tell believers, however, to meet regularly with a group of Christians who love, serve, and encourage one another (see Ephesians 4:16, I Timothy 3:15, and Romans 12:4-5).
Still Have Questions?
We want to make this easy, yet keep it meaningful. If the process described above leaves you with questions, call us at the church at 850-562-1188, or contact us via e-mail at
